Hamburg

A minha participação no projeto Erasmus + foi uma das experiências mais enriquecedoras, a nível cultural e social, pelas quais alguma vez passei. Para além dos conhecimentos adquiridos nos tours e visitas realizadas na cidade de Hamburgo, a convivência com pessoas de vários países permitiu que os meus horizontes se expandissem. Alguns dos momentos altos foram, na minha opinião, o contacto com os migrantes e refugiados e a colaboração de todos para um objetivo comum, demonstrandose assim, que somos todos iguais e que, com um pequeno esforço, é possível construir algo melhor e ultrapassar barreiras. A importância deste projeto reside precisamente na promoção da união e interação entre pessoas completamente diferentes. Todos os medos e ansiedade que senti antes de embarcar nesta viagem deram lugar ao acolhimento e proximidade. Tenho a certeza que algumas das amizades que fiz se manterão e que esta experiência vai ser sempre algo a recordar positivamente.

My participation in the Erasmus + Project was one of the most culturally and socially enriching experiences I have ever had. Not only did I learn from the tours and visits through the city of Hamburg, but also from the contact with people from various countries which allowed me to expand my horizons. In my opinion some of the high points were the session with migrants and refugees and working together for a common goal, showing that way that we are all the same and that if we work hard we can overcome any barriers. The importance of this project lays precisely on the promotion of union and interaction between people who are completely different. Any fear or anxiety I felt previously about going on this trip gave place to a feeling of belonging and proximity. I’m sure that I’ll keep some of the friends I made and that I will always remember this experience as something positive.

No dia 12 de fevereiro começou uma das maiores aventuras da minha vida, algo que me enriqueceu imenso. Uma das coisas que mais me agradou, foram as pessoas conheci e os amigos que fiz e com os quais pretendo manter sempre contacto. Posso dizer que visitámos imenso a cidade de Hamburgo. Inclusive andei de barco duas vezes. Visitei ainda a “Elbphilarmonie”, um edifício recém-acabado dedicado à música, um dos centros comerciais mais importantes da Europa, “Europa Passage” e a “Rathaus”, situada numa das minhas zonas preferidas em Hamburgo. Espero ter mais experiências como esta, porque nos enriquecem, nos ajudam a conhecer outros países, a sua história, cultura e língua, e ainda a perceber outras realidades e diferentes modos de vida. Agradeço à minha escola e aos meus professores esta oportunidade e esta aventura.

On the 12th of February one of the biggest adventures in my life, something that enriched me a lot, started. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was the people and the friends I met, who I always want keep contact with. I can tell that we actually visited a lot the city of Hamburg and we went on a boat trip twice. We also visited “Elbphilarmonie”, a freshly finished building dedicated to music, one of the most important European shopping centres: “Europa Passage” and the “Rathaus”, located in one of my favorite parts in the city. I hope I can have more opportunities like this, because it is something that enriches us a lot, helps us to know other countries, their history, culture, language and even help to understand different realities and different lifestyles. I am very thankful to my school and my teachers for this opportunity and this adventure.

No dia 12 de fevereiro cheguei a Hamburgo, a cidade mais bonita que já visitei. Durante a semana que se passou tive a sorte de ficar em casa de uma rapariga que era extremamente parecida comigo e cuja mãe falava inglês fluentemente, o que facilitou bastante a minha curta estadia na Alemanha. À exceção de uma manhã em que tivemos uma visita guiada por Hamburgo, todas as outras foram passadas na escola a conviver com alunos de diversos países (Turquia, Islândia, Eslovénia, Finlândia e, claro, Alemanha). Numa das tardes fomos passear em Hamburgo, em grupos cujos elementos eram de diferentes países. O modo como este passeio foi executado permitiu, do meu ponto de vista, que os alunos tivessem uma visão mais pessoal da cidade, pois não estávamos simplesmente a ser guiados pela cidade enquanto um senhor nos fala dela, estávamos a conviver enquanto víamos o que Hamburgo oferece de melhor aos jovens que visitam a cidade. Numa outra tarde juntei-me a mais pessoas e fomos todos à “Jump House”, um estabelecimento que tem vários trampolins e jogos. Este dia foi, sem dúvida, o meu preferido porque o ambiente era simplesmente fantástico. Na nossa penúltima noite em Hamburgo foi feito um jantar na escola, em que cada aluno levou comida típica do seu país e, mais uma vez, os alunos juntaram-se todos depois do jantar para ir passear à noite por Reeperbahn. Para a nossa última noite os alunos alemães organizaram uma festa de despedida para que todos pudessem estar juntos pela última vez. Esta experiência foi, até agora, a melhor da minha vida. Numa semana convivi com pessoas de diferentes culturas, provei diferentes comidas típicas de cada país e, o mais importante de tudo, criei relações de amizade. Honestamente não estava à espera de criar laços mas, sem necessidade de esforço, isso aconteceu. Não estivemos apenas com pessoas de países diferentes, estivemos com amigos de países diferentes com quem continuamos a falar através das redes sociais todos os fins de semana.

On February 12, I arrived in Hamburg, the most beautiful city I have ever visited. I stayed with a girl who is extremely similar to me and whose mother speaks English fluently which made my short visit much easier Except for one morning when we had a guided tour of Hamburg, all the others were spent at school with students from different countries (Turkey, Iceland, Slovenia, Finland and of course Germany). One afternoon we went to Hamburg in groups whose members were from different countries. The way this tour was made allowed, in my view, the students to have a more personal view of the city because we were not simply being guided by the city while a gentleman told us about it, we were hanging out together while we saw what Hamburg offers to young people who visit the city. One other afternoon we joined some students and went to the "Jump House", an establishment that has several trampolines and games. This day was definitely my favorite because the atmosphere was just fantastic. On our penultimate night in Hamburg, a dinner was held at the school where each student took typical food of their country, and once again the students gathered together after dinner to go to Reeperbahn. For our last night the German students organized a farewell party so that everyone could be together for the last time. This experience has been, until now, the best of my life. One week I hang out with people from different cultures, tasted different typical foods of each country and most important of all: I made real friendships. Honestly I was not expecting to bond but, without the need for effort, it happened. We were not just with people from different countries, we were with friends from different countries with whom we continue to talk through social networks every weekend.
